Amazing hotel with its friendly staff, great wi-fi, and a lovely bar lounge. On my first visit, they helped me find amazing places to eat. I highly recommend it and will return for Christmas!

They had a full English breakfast that included pastries, fruit, coffee and cereal. The hotel's location was very central, easy to get to city centre.

Grand old hotel with a good pool. Cereals, fruit and pastries served for breakfast. Easy location in a very quiet area, easy to get around. And close enough to Harrogate as well as local bars.

Unfortunately there was no city map and in the city / streets there was not a single reference to the hotel. It's not easy to find by car.

good stay but some improvements needed
The room was well-appointed with modern amenities and comfort. The complimentary drink vouchers added a nice touch to our experience.
The walk from the station felt longer than expected.

Location
Cold room, staff unfriendly at breakfast, iron spat out coloured water room like grand central station when someone walked past in corridor was like they were in your room! Breakfast felt like it was in a canteen - poached eggs arrived on soggy bread - bacon hard with soggy fat bits - sausages uncooked very disappointing. Sofas in bar ripped and looked like they need a good clean!

The room was warm and clean, which I really liked. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were pretty flat, so I woke up feeling a bit off. The shower was okay, but being tall, I struggled a bit with the height. It was cozy enough for a weekend stay, just need to bring my own pillows next time.

There was a wedding fayre on Sunday and the breakfast was shambolic. Also it cluttered the reception and seating area. Not good....

i booked a room with a lovely bed, climate control, free wi-fi and a couch. everything was first-class, however a few employees were very unfriendly.
Well, the views were not very nice here.

The front gardens create a pleasant backdrop was good. The restaurant's ornate decor adds a unique character, and meals-including the breakfast-carry a touch of class without breaking the bank.
Corridors to some rooms show signs of age, with carpeting needing replacement and room doors appearing dated, which detracts from the overall aesthetic that the main areas offer. A significant inconvenience arose from incorrect billing practices, where multiple pre-authorisation charges lingered longer than expected. Parking methods via a third-party can be tricky, especially if vehicle registration isn't entered immediately, risking unexpected tickets.

The welcome is first rate, the rooms are large, comfortable and well maintained. The Staff cannot do enough for you, being very knowledgeable about the area, the food they serve and things to do. I saw the dining room staff going round with temperature probes checking that the food was at the correct temperature. The setting for the hotel gives it a great start with open land (The Stray) across from the hotel and all the attractions of Harrogate a short 10 minute walk away on the flat. It is our second visit that we have just taken and we do hope to return again.
Nothing!
